The beaver is the second largest rodent in the world. They live in colonies and use trees that they gnaw with their sharp teeth, to block waterways and create dams. The flooded areas become their home. They build lodges with trees and mud.
Haha, that expression is adorable! The whole thing is cute, though. The short legs, big head and spiky hair help make the beaver look more like a child. The background is very well done, too. It has great shading, especially on the grass, and it's great how the hills get lighter in color as they recede into the distance.
You're welcome. I think some people cut corners on backgrounds when they are important to understanding the theme of the picture, or otherwise ARE the theme, and it ends up hurting the whole presentation.
Normally, I am not really into "humanified animals" sort of thing, but I actually really like this. There's something really nice about this that I like.
