Hello everyone,
Welcome to a brand new art challenge courtesy of your Community Volunteers. We present to you a unique challenge in which you will be paired up with other amazing artists to create something unique, of their choosing! We hope this will help get you out of your comfort zone and practice your creative skills.
How it works:
Step 1
Leave a comment on the original journal with: the specific art medium(s) you'd like to be challenged within, and a list of things you refuse to create. Do not include any other information, this is all we require from you.
>Please try to keep the list short of your objections, it should only be things you truly object to creating.
>You may choose up to 3 types of art mediums to be challenged within. Please choose from the list below.
Example: Choice #1: Digital Art>Photomanipulation. Choice #2: Photography>People & Portraits. Choice #3: Photography>Darkroom. I refuse to create anything too sexual.

Step 2
We will randomly assign you another artist to work with on this challenge. That's right, you don't get to choose, it will be a surprise!
Step 3
You will receive a note with the name of your partner, the art medium(s) they want to be challenged within and the list of things they refuse to create.
Step 4
You should then get in contact with your partner, and issue them a challenge! They will do the same for you!
Step 5
Complete your challenge to the best of your abilities within the allotted 30 days!
Example:
Laura and Michael are paired together. Laura wants to be challenged in photography>people & portraits, and refuses to photograph any nudity. Michael wants to be challenged in traditional art>paintings or traditional art>drawings, and refuses to create anything too violent.
Laura challenges Michael to paint a romantic sunset over the ocean. Michael challenges Laura to photograph someone walking down the street, in black and white.
Deadline:
Participants will have 30 days to complete the challenge they've been issued, and send the results to their partner. Once they have done so, they should also leave a comment on the original journal explaining what the challenge they were issued was and linking to the resulting piece of art.
The Schedule:
February 15th - 29th: Sign-Up period. Deviants complete Step 1.
March 2nd: Partners are assigned, Step 2 & 3 are completed.
March 5th - April 4th: Step 4 & 5 are completed by 11:59 PM Pacific Time on April 4th.

Prize:
We will select three pairs of artists (so three groups of 2 people) who created the most impressive artwork based off their challenge. This means you want to give your partner an interesting challenge, and you want to do your best work with the challenge your partner gives you, because that's how you'll win 1st, 2nd or 3rd place!
1st place: each artist will receive a 3 month core membership, or the equivalent 1,200
